Megan + Nick

Megan's love story with Nick is wonderful, and you will hear yourself in her story.   

Bela and Megan were college friends who had lost touch for many years, but got in touch again when Megan reached out to Smart Dating Academy.

Megan grew up in Chicago in a loving family. She absolutely loved college life, but didn’t date a lot during that time. She wasn't comfortable around boys and it didn’t come naturally to her.

When she graduated college, she started dating, but just never met the right guy. Megan never let the lack of a partner hold her back and she traveled the world and enjoyed life. But at one point she knew she wanted to have a partner to spend her life with. Megan also knew that she wanted lasting love, that she wasn't picking the right people, and that she wasn't getting the results she wanted. Then a college friend told Megan about Bela's Smart Dating Academy, and Megan enlisted their professional help because she knew that she wouldn't get different results doing the same things over and over again!

Megan started to cast her net wider from her usual type and started stepping out of her comfort zone with the help of SDA. She was on Match.com for a year, but felt overwhelmed by it and wasn’t getting the results she wanted. So, she put her profile on a unique dating app called Meetmindful that she found in a Yoga magazine, and was VERY dubious when she received a “you have a match” message when she was on a vacation with some girlfriends. She looked at the guy and thought that he looked cute. She got in touch with him and they emailed back and forth. They found out through the emails that their parents both have vacation homes on a lake two blocks from each other and that they have quite a few friends in common. They went on several dates and she loved how attentive Nick was. After a while he asked her to be his girlfriend and she introduced him to her family one month after they met. They moved in next to each other and eight years later they are still going strong and love the partnership they share.
