Jill

Jill

Born and raised in a suburb of Chicago, Jill had a wonderful childhood. She met her first husband at the age of 22 and fell head over heels. They eloped to get married and had 5 kids, each 2 years apart. Jill enjoyed staying at home with her kids, but her husband and her noticed that they were in over their heads and it was hard for them to keep the romance going. Very early on in her marriage, Jill started seeing the red flags and that they were on separate pages, but they stuck it out for 24 years and eventually got divorced, but now have a great relationship.

Jill and I met in 2018 in the Green room at a TV station. Jill wasn't dating yet, but realized that she met me at the right time. She knew she needed help getting back into the dating world and decided to start working with SDA. Lindsay and I helped Jill figure out what characteristics and traits she is looking for in a partner and being funny and humorous was her top priority.

After setting up her dating profile in the apps, Jill really embraced the whole process and dated for about 18 months. She had an amazing time and loved meeting new people. Jill saw this all as part of the bigger picture. She got set up by a friend during Covid. They went on their first date by taking a 2 hour walk and she really enjoyed her time, because he made her laugh a lot. He had the humor she was looking for in a partner. They kept in touch, had more dates, but kept it slow. Due to Covid, they were forced to have dates outside, like going for walks, cooking out on Jill's rooftop and there were no distractions. It gave them the opportunity to really talk and listen and connect.

After about 6 months of dating, Jill moved a block away from Noah and half a year later her lease was up and she moved in with Noah. They have been in a relationship for 4 years now and are still going strong. The relationship feels easy and their blended family, which includes both of their kids, Jill's ex-husband and new partner, gets along well together and they have created fun new traditions.

Jill would tell anyone to just embrace everything, no matter what the path looks like, to embrace the highs and the lows.
