A late bloomer who once believed she deserved to be treated poorly, Bianca had to unlearn old beliefs before she could recognize real love. Bianca is a chemist who lives in Ontario, Canada. She grew up in a traditional, loving household with both of her parents, who were very hands-on, and her sister. Bianca describes herself as a late bloomer and an introverted, independent woman by nature. By her mid-twenties, nearly everyone she knew was married, often to the only person they had ever dated. Bianca was puzzled by how that worked for them, but not for her.
After Bianca revamped her online profile with new photos from her SDA photoshoot, her inbox exploded almost immediately. Going through the responses, she quickly learned how to spot red flags — a skill that helped her on her first dates too, when she began noticing things she would have let pass in the past but were no longer acceptable to her. At the start of 2021, still in the Covid lockdown phase, Bianca met Derek online on Bumble. After their first date, she assumed she wouldn't hear back from him — but she did. They went on a second date, and since everything was closed due to Covid, their dates became long walks where they really got to know each other. Derek was supportive from the start, and Bianca realized he was the lid to her pot. Bianca and Derek got married in 2023 and couldn't be happier to be real partners in life.
